Sublimation metal is one of the most cost-effective and versatile products for dye sublimation printing, and Novachrome UK is proud to have been one of the first suppliers in Britain to recognise its potential. Our sublimation metal, typically aluminium, comes in various thicknesses (or ‘gauges’), including popular options like 0.48mm and 0.68mm, as well as our 1.2mm ChromaLuxe Aluminium Photo Panels for superior quality. Each sheet measures approximately 30.5 x 61cm (12 x 24″) and is available in nine stunning shades, offering plenty of choices for your custom printing needs.

We also provide a range of pre-cut metals, though many customers prefer to purchase our standard sheets for cutting to specific sizes. These metal sheets are ideal for a variety of uses, including entry and exit signs, warning signs, and vintage or retro signage. The polyester-rich coating ensures vibrant, colourful images with sharp, clean edges, making them perfect for high-quality sublimation printing.

Sublimating on our metal sheets is straightforward, especially when using Sawgrass printers. For optimal colour results, we recommend the ‘Tumbler’ substrate setting. Allow prints to dry fully before pressing, and for the best transfer quality, we suggest using our S-Race Vivid paper. To achieve a smooth, glossy finish, we advise using a PTFE Pressing Pillow to ensure light but even pressure across the surface of the aluminium.

Our 0.48mm and 0.68mm sublimation metal sheets can easily be customised using our Hand Operated Guillotine, and corners can be rounded with our Corner Rounder for a professional finish.
